triṁśikāvijñaptikārikāḥ

amaḥ sarvabuddhabodhisattvebhyaḥ

ātmadharmopacāro hi vividho yaḥ pravartate|

vijñānapariṇāme'sau pariṇāmaḥ sa ca tridhā||1||

vipāko mananākhyaśca vijñaptirviṣayasya ca|

tatrālayākhyaṁ vijñānaṁ vipākaḥ sarvabījakam||2||

asaṁviditakopādisthānavijñaptikaṁ ca tat|

sadā sparśamanaskāravitsaṁjñācetanānvitam||3||

1由假説我法 有種種相
彼依識所變(識所變VijJAna−pariNAma) 此能變(能變 PariNAma)唯三
2 謂異熟(VipAka)思量(Manana) 及了別境識(ViSaya−vijJapti)
阿頼耶識(Alaya−vijJAna) 異熟一切種(Sarva−vIjaka)
3不可知(AsaMviditaka)執受(UpAdi) 處(SthAna)了(VijJaptika)常與觸(SparZa)
作意(ManaskAra)受(Vit(vedanA))想(SaMjJA)思(CetanA) 相應唯捨(捨UpekSA)受

From the delusion of self and dharmas,
Comes the conveyence of various manifestations;
These are supported and transformed by consciousness,
And there are only three of these which may transform.

These are retribution, thought,
And the perception of external objects.
The first of these is the Ālaya Consciousness,
Which is retribution as well as all the seeds.

Its grasping, location, and knowing are imperceivable,
And it is always associated with mental contact,
Attention, sensation, conception, and thought;
It is associated with neither pleasure nor pain.

三つの主要事項を概説する頌( triṁ-śikā-vijñapti-kārikāḥ )

1.
それゆえ( hi ) 我れ(アートマン)が法(≒宇宙の事象≒ブラフマン仮象)と向き合うというばあいその姿勢は( ātma-dharma-upacāro ) いくつかのかたち( vividho )を取って( yaḥ *) 現われる( pravartate )。

   * いくつかのかたちであり それは( yaḥ )・・・

 すなわち( 'sau = asau )認識( vijñāna )の変態において( pariṇāme )であり けっきょく( ca )その( sa )変態は( pariṇāmaḥ )三種( tridhā )である。

ヰパーカ(時熟 vipāko )と( ca )内的な思考( manana )と呼ばれるもの( ākhyaś )と( ca )そして外的なモノの( viṣayasya )知覚( vijñaptir )〔の三つが それぞれ認識のすがた〕である。

そのうち( tatra )まづヰパーカは( vipākaḥ )アーラヤ( ālaya )と呼ばれる( ākhyaṁ )認識を( vijñānaṁ )言い あらゆる〔行為の〕( sarva )種のことを( bījakam )言っている。〔その種が 時熟するのである〕。
