漱石英詩註（その五）
さて 最後に掲げようとする詩は すでに一部を引いた《 I rested my head... 》のうたである。
《かのじょのすすり泣く胸に われはこうべをゆだねた》と始めて 第二連で すでに触れたように 双条の光 Twilight がやってくる。その後 第三連では 星 the stars が述べられる。第四連は 《 Ask me not who I am 》の結語の部分である。この後半を掲げよう。 Twilight のやってきたのち
Then came the stars: they seemed to light her golden head.
They seemed to move on her golden head ----one ---- two ---- and three.
The three stars moved and glittered there on her golden head.
And lit her dreamy hair, dreamily flowing in the darkness.
